Nordic Winter: Three perfect days

DAY 1 - Arrival

At arrival at Umeå Airport, the guests will be welcomed and provided with warm winter equipment that they borrow during their whole stay. After the guests has gotten into their snowmobile suit, hat, mittens and insulated winter boots they will enjoy a dog sled safari directly to Stora Hotellet where they’ll stay for the night. On the way we will stop for a warm drink around a sparkling fire, before checking in and heading for a three course dinner at Guitars the Museum.

DAY 2

Day 2 it is time for the guests to gear up in their snowmobile suit again and head for the Elk farm. Here they will experience a personal encounter with this impressive animal, before heading out for a snowmobile safari with included lunch. The guests will then have some time to relax and experience Umeå on their own before an unforgettable dinner on ice.

DAY 3 - Departure

Umeå is the home to many experts within their fields, so after breakfast it is time for the guests to meet them and gain some inspiration. At Umeå’s Art campus, you’ll find the famous Umeå Institute of Design and Sliperiet, where the guests have the chance to try a 3D printer. We will then head for a lunch at Gammlia Museum where the guests can learn about the Swedish history and the indigenous people, both from exhibitions and the open air museum where a whole historic town is represented with a church, school and homes of former farmers . After that it is time to say goodbye to Umeå, transfer will be provided to the airport that will take the guests to Stockholm.

Nordic Winter: Wilderness & Luxury days

DAY 1 - Arrival

After arrival the guests will be transferred by bus to Ekorrsele, a Viking house and tepee where they’ll stay for the night. Everyone will be provided with thermal clothes for the day’s activities, except of course during the Sauna school. After a three course dinner together in the tapee, the guests can retire to their log cabins, which will be heated by open fireplaces and the only light will be provided by candles and hopefully the Northern Lights.

DAY 2

After a hot breakfast in the tapee, the guests will gear up and go for a snowmobile safari.  Our guides will show them the Swedish winter landscape across frozen lakes and rivers, before a delicious lunch outdoors. It is then time to leave the wilderness and head for the luxury in Northern Sweden’s biggest city, Umeå. After the guests have been checked in to Stora Hotellet they will enjoy a three course dinner at Guitars the Museum, a bar and restaurant as well as a host to one of the world’s finest guitar collections.

DAY 3

After a good night’s sleep at Stora Hotellet, it is time to go out into the wilderness again. The day will begin with a visit to the Elk farm for a personal encounter with these impressive animals. The guests will also have the opportunity to try quad driving in the snow and to experience the winter landscape with a dog sled safari. After that we will head back to Umeå for an unforgettable dinner on ice.

Nordic Winter: Meeting

DAY 1 - Arrival

After arrival at Umeå airport, the guests will be transferred to the hotel where they will find thermal clothes for the Swedish climate. The meeting will then take place in one of Umeå’s many venues depending on the amount of guests and purpose of the meeting. Two options are P5, our newest addition to Umeå that can take up to 200 people, or Umeå Folkets Hus that can take as many as 1300. After some free time the guests will enjoy cocktails and a dinner on ice.

DAY 2

After breakfast and a conference session it’s time for some activities. We will head for the Elk Farm where the guests will have the opportunity for a personal encounter with an elk as one of the highlights. The guests can also enjoy other activities here such as snowmobile and dog sledding. After a lunch we will head back to Umeå where the guests can have some time to explore Umeå before dinner at Bildmuséet, a centre for contemporary art och visual culture that’s won the Swedish award for Museum of the Year.
